PHED: meters, tokens and complaints
- NERC directed PHED to migrate every prepaid meter with the TID rollover key change tokens by November 2024. A meter that was not migrated cannot accept new tokens - get its KCT from PHED's TID portal. (source)
- If you buy more than one token, load them in the order you bought them: enter the first token before the second. (source)
- You can apply for a paid MAP prepaid meter on PHED's MAP portal with a valid ID, your phone number, PHED account number, phase (1 or 3) and email; payment comes before installation. (source)
- PHED's MAP portal lists approved vendor prices: in September 2026 about ₦98,900-₦105,350 for a single-phase smart meter and ₦186,350-₦189,200 for three-phase, VAT included. (source)
