Delete Your Account

Request Deletion of Your Aidapay Account

This page explains how to delete your Aidapay account and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the Aidapay mobile app (Android and iOS) and to accounts created on this website. Aidapay is operated by Veqi LTD (RC1974322).

You can delete your account yourself from inside the app at any time, or send us a deletion request by email if you are unable to sign in. Both options are described below.

Option 1 — Delete Your Account in the App

This is the fastest method and takes effect immediately. In the Aidapay app:

1

Sign in to the Aidapay app on your Android or iOS device.

2

Open Account Settings.

3

Tap Account Information.

4

Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete My Account.

5

Read the warning, type DELETE in capital letters in the confirmation box, then tap Delete Account.

Your account is closed as soon as you confirm, and you are signed out of the app immediately.

Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email

If you have lost access to your account, uninstalled the app, or cannot complete the steps above, send us a deletion request and we will process it for you. Email [email protected] from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”, and include:

  • The full name on your account.
  • The phone number registered on your account.
  • The email address registered on your account.

We will verify that the request genuinely comes from the account owner before we act on it. This protects you from someone else closing your account. We aim to acknowledge every request within 48 hours and to complete verified requests within 30 days.

Email an Account Deletion Request

Before You Delete

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone after the recovery window.

Please read the points below before you continue. Once the recovery window closes, we cannot restore your account, your transaction history, your saved beneficiaries or your referral earnings.

  • Withdraw your wallet balance first. Any money left in your Aidapay wallet should be withdrawn to your bank account or spent before you delete. Deleting an account does not automatically pay out a remaining balance.
  • Let pending transactions finish. If you have a transaction still processing or a refund on the way, wait for it to complete so you can confirm the outcome.
  • Unused bonuses, cashback and referral rewards are forfeited. These have no cash value once the account is closed.
  • Restricted accounts cannot be deleted in the app. If your account is under review or restricted, the in-app option will not complete. Contact us at [email protected] so we can resolve the review and then process your request.
  • You cannot reuse the account. After deletion you will not be able to sign in again. Registering afresh in future creates a brand-new account with no access to your old history.

What Happens After You Delete

  • Immediately Your account is closed. You are signed out, you can no longer sign in or transact, and we stop using your profile for notifications, promotions or marketing of any kind.
  • Within 30 days A recovery window is held open in case the deletion was a mistake. If you change your mind, email [email protected] from your registered email address within 30 days and ask us to reinstate the account.
  • After 30 days The recovery window closes and your personal data is removed from our active systems, apart from the limited records we are required by law to keep (listed below). Reinstatement is no longer possible at this point.

What Is Deleted and What Is Kept

Deleted

  • Your profile details — name, email address and phone number.
  • Your login credentials and saved devices.
  • Saved beneficiaries and recipient numbers.
  • Any contact-list and image data you shared with our support team.
  • Your notification, marketing and communication preferences.
  • Referral links, referral relationships and unused reward balances.

Kept, where the law requires it

  • Records of completed financial transactions, which we must retain as a licensed financial-service operator.
  • Identity and verification (KYC) records collected to meet anti-money-laundering obligations.
  • Records needed to resolve a dispute, chargeback, fraud investigation or a lawful request from a regulator or court.

Records in the second list are retained only for the minimum period required by applicable Nigerian law — for financial and anti-money-laundering records this is generally five (5) years after your last transaction. They are held securely, are never used for marketing, and are deleted once the retention period ends. This mirrors the retention rules set out in our Privacy Policy.
