Questions,answered.

The same answers you get in the AidaPay app, for buying data, airtime and bills, funding your wallet, and sending money with ScanPay.

Getting Started

How do I create an AidaPay account?
Download AidaPay, tap Sign Up, and enter your name, phone number and email address. We send a 4-digit code to your email to activate the account, then you create the PIN that authorises your transactions.

Keep that PIN private - AidaPay staff will never ask you for it. Copy link
Why do I need to verify my account?
Verification raises your transaction limits and unlocks features like bank transfers. Each level asks for a little more, and you can see exactly what each one gives you before you start.

Open Account Verification Copy link
What is the difference between BillPayment and ScanPay?
BillPayment is for airtime, data, electricity, cable TV and transfers. ScanPay lets you pay a bank account by scanning or photographing the account details.

You can switch between them at any time from the dashboard - your balance and history stay with your account either way. Copy link
Do you charge for opening an account?
No. Creating an AidaPay account is free. Copy link
Does AidaPay offer loans?
No. AidaPay does not give loans, credit or advances of any kind, and nobody acting for AidaPay will offer you one. If someone asks you to pay a fee to receive an AidaPay loan, it is a scam; report it from Settings → Support. Copy link
Can I use AidaPay by USSD?
AidaPay has no USSD code. Everything is done in the app. You can still fund your AidaPay account from your bank by USSD: transfer to your AidaPay account number shown under Deposit. Copy link
What is MODE?
The MODE button under the dashboard switches between Bill Payment (airtime, data, bills), ScanPay (bank transfers and QR payments) and, for FSAs, Influencer. Each mode has its own balance and its own screens. Copy link

What is the success rate shown on a service?
The success rate shows the percentage of transactions for a particular service that were completed successfully.

It gives you an idea of how reliably the service has been processing transactions based on its recent transaction performance.

Good to know:

1. A higher success rate generally means the service has a higher likelihood of processing your transaction successfully.
2. The success rate is based on recent transaction performance and may change over time. Copy link
How do I buy for someone I pay often?

What is cashback and where does it go?

Once earned, your cashback is credited to your Cashback/Commission balance.

To convert your cashback:

1. Go to your Cashback/Commission balance.
2. Tap Convert next to your balance.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the conversion.

Keep an eye on your Cashback/Commission balance to see the rewards you've earned. Copy link
How do I buy airtime or data?
In Bill Payment mode tap the service, pick the network, then the plan, enter the phone number and confirm with your PIN. Your cashback, the price and any promo code are shown before you confirm.
For data, the plan name tells you the type and the validity (days). Keep the receipt from Transactions. Copy link
What do SME, Gifting, Corporate Gifting and AWUF mean on data plans?
They are the different ways a network delivers data. SME and Corporate Gifting plans are sent to your line as a bundle you can use on any device. Gifting plans are gifted from a line on our side to yours. AWUF plans are the network's bonus offers: you pay a small amount and receive a much larger bonus with the network's own conditions, such as what it can be used for and how long it lasts.
The validity and any conditions are written on each plan. Dial the network's balance code to see the bundle after delivery. Copy link
Why is a plan greyed out or marked unavailable?
The network or our supplier has paused that plan for the moment, or it needs a newer version of the app. Plans come back on their own once the supplier is stable; try another plan of the same size in the meantime, or update the app if it asks you to. Copy link
Are there plans that only work at certain times?
Yes. Some plans, such as night or happy-hour bundles, can only be used in the hours the network sets, and the name of the plan says so. Buy them for use in that window; the network will not extend it. Copy link
How do I pay for electricity?
Tap Electricity, pick your distribution company, choose prepaid or postpaid and enter the meter or account number. We show the name on the meter so you can confirm it, then you enter the amount and pay.
For prepaid meters the token appears on the receipt and in the transaction details as soon as the payment completes; type it into your meter. Postpaid payments are applied to your bill. Copy link
I paid for electricity but have no token
Open the transaction in Transactions: if it is Completed, the token is on that receipt. If it is still Processing, the distribution company has not released it yet; we check automatically and the token appears as soon as it does, or the money is refunded if it fails.
If a completed transaction shows no token, open Chat with support with the transaction hash. Copy link
How do I renew DStv, GOtv or StarTimes?
Tap Cable TV, pick the provider and enter the smartcard or IUC number. We show the customer name, you pick the bouquet, and pay. Activation usually takes a few minutes; if the decoder still shows the old status, switch it off and on, or reset it from the provider's own app. Copy link
How do I buy WAEC or JAMB pins?
Tap Education, choose WAEC result checker, WAEC registration or JAMB, and the quantity. The PINs are delivered on the receipt and in the transaction details; copy them from there. Keep them safe: a PIN that has been used cannot be replaced. Copy link
How do I fund my betting account?
Tap Betting, pick the bookmaker, enter your customer ID and the amount. We confirm the name on the betting account before you pay, and the money is credited to that betting account, not to your AidaPay balance. Copy link
How do I pay for Showmax, Smile or Spectranet?
Streaming and internet plans are under their own services. Enter the account or customer number the provider gave you, pick the plan and pay. Where the provider delivers a code or PIN, it is shown on the receipt and in the transaction details. Copy link
What are ePINs?
ePINs are recharge card PINs you buy in bulk and resell or share. Choose the network and value, enter the quantity, and the PINs are listed on the receipt and in the transaction details, ready to copy or print. Copy link
What is auto-renew?
Auto-renew repeats a purchase on a schedule you set, for example a data plan every month, as long as your balance covers it. Manage schedules, history and pauses from Extras → Bulk Transactions. When AidaPay pauses auto-renew for everyone, your orders are kept and run again once it is back on. Copy link
What is a donation at checkout?
Some purchases offer a tick box to add a small donation to a campaign in the Reward Centre → Donations. It comes from your Bill Payment balance, and you can see what each campaign has raised there. Copy link

Wallet & Funding

I mistakenly transferred money into my wallet. Can I get a refund?
If you mistakenly funded your AidaPay wallet from your bank account, you can request a reversal through these steps:

1. Contact the source bank you sent the money from and report the transaction as an erroneous transfer to request a recall.
2. Once your bank contacts our partner bank or payment gateway, the refund request will be received.
3. AidaPay will process the refund back to your source account upon receiving the official request from your bank.

Please note that the refund process usually takes between 3 to 7 working days, and your wallet or account may be temporarily restricted during this period while the recall is being processed. Copy link
How do I fund my wallet?
Tap Deposit on the dashboard. You can transfer to your dedicated virtual account number, pay with a card, or swap airtime for wallet balance.

Transfers to your virtual account usually reflect within a minute. Copy link
Why is my wallet balance different from what I expect?
Pending transactions are held until they complete, so a transfer in progress is already deducted even though it has not finished.

Open your transaction history to see every debit and credit with its status. If something still does not add up, send us the date and amount and we will reconcile it. Copy link
What ways can I add money?
Open Deposit. You can transfer to your own AidaPay account number, pay with any Nigerian debit card, OPay or PalmPay, use a one-time account for a single transfer, or load an AidaPay voucher.
Each method shows its charge before you pay. Money lands in your Bill Payment balance. Copy link
What is airtime swap?
Airtime swap (airtime to cash) is not offered on AidaPay. Airtime bought on AidaPay cannot be converted back to money, and we do not buy airtime from anyone. If someone offers to swap your airtime for cash on AidaPay's behalf, it is not us. Copy link
How do I hide my balance?
Tap the eye icon beside your balance on the dashboard, or turn on Hide Account Balance under Settings → Application Settings. It only hides the figure on your screen; nothing about your money changes. Copy link
How do I get my own AidaPay account number?
Open Deposit. After your BVN or NIN is linked, an account number in your name is created for you; transfers to it land in your Bill Payment balance within moments. Some accounts can be opened before BVN or NIN; the Deposit screen shows what is available to you and the charge for each. Copy link
Who is Veqi Ltd on my bank statement?
Veqi Ltd is the registered company behind AidaPay. Deposits to AidaPay and payouts from it appear under that name on bank statements. Copy link
Can I fund with a debit card, OPay or PalmPay?
Yes. In Deposit choose Card, OPay or PalmPay, enter the amount and pay on the secure page. It is instant and works before verification. The charge for each method and the minimum amount are shown before you pay. We never store your full card details. Copy link
Is there a charge for funding my account?
It depends on the method. Each option in Deposit shows its charge and the exact amount that will land in your balance before you confirm. Vouchers carry no charge. Copy link
How do I convert my cashback or commission?
Open Commissions (or Cashback) from Quick Links and tap Convert. The amount moves to your Bill Payment balance and can be spent at once. Conversion is only available when it is switched on, and the minimum, if any, is shown on the screen. Copy link

ScanPay

What is ScanPay?
ScanPay is an AidaPay feature that lets you make payments and transfer funds conveniently. You can scan a QR code to complete eligible transactions quickly and securely.

How do I access ScanPay?

First, make sure your AidaPay app is updated to the latest version.

Then:

1. Log in to your AidaPay account.
2. Tap MODE beneath your dashboard.
3. Select ScanPay.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your transaction.

Keep your AidaPay app updated to enjoy the latest features and improvements. Copy link
The scan found more than one account
This message means the QR code you scanned is linked to more than one account, so AidaPay cannot determine the intended recipient automatically.

Before proceeding:

1. Confirm that you are scanning the correct QR code for the intended recipient.
2. Verify the recipient’s details displayed before completing the transaction.
3. If the issue continues, contact AidaPay Support for assistance.

Always confirm the recipient’s details before completing a transaction. Copy link
What is clipboard access in ScanPay settings?
Clipboard Access allows ScanPay to access information you have copied to your device’s clipboard, such as payment details, to help make eligible transactions faster and more convenient.

You can manage this permission through your device settings.

For your security, only allow Clipboard Access if you are comfortable granting ScanPay this permission. Copy link
What is my ScanPay QR code for?
Your ScanPay QR code makes it easier for other AidaPay users to send payments or transfer funds to you without manually entering your account details.

To receive a payment:

1. Open your ScanPay QR code in AidaPay.
2. Share your QR code with the person making the payment.
3. They can scan your QR code using ScanPay.
4. They can then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transaction.

Share your ScanPay QR code to make receiving payments faster and more convenient. Copy link

Smart Share

What is Smart Share?
Smart Share allows you to set aside airtime or data and share it with others through a custom link or code. The recipient can claim it themselves, making it convenient for sharing with family, friends, or your audience.

You can also track how much has been claimed. Copy link
Someone sent me a Smart Share link. How do I claim it?
Open the link, or go to Smart Share in the app and enter the 6-character redeem code. If the share is still active and your number qualifies, the airtime or data is sent to you straight away.
Each phone can claim a share once, and the person who created it may have capped how much one claim can take. Copy link
Can I change or stop a Smart Share after creating it?
Yes. Open the share from Smart Share: you can switch it off, set a date when claims stop automatically, change the rules, or share the code again. Changing the rules of an active share may carry a fee, shown before you confirm. Copy link
How do I create a Smart Share?
Open Smart Share, choose airtime or data and the total you want to set aside, then set the rules: an exact amount per claim or a cap, whether claims stop on a date, and whether to be alerted on each claim. Each phone number can claim once. Share the code or link; any fee is shown before you confirm. Copy link

Verification

What do I need to verify my account?
Your BVN and NIN, and a short liveness check (a selfie taken in the app). The details must match the name on your AidaPay account. Start under Settings → Upgrade & Limits; each step shows any fee before you begin. Copy link
Why is a level locked?
Each level unlocks after the one before it: phone number, then email, then BVN, then NIN. A level is locked until the previous one is complete. Some levels also unlock only after you have used part of your current limit, so an account that has just verified may have to transact a little first. The Upgrade & Limits screen shows exactly what is needed. Copy link
My verification is still pending
Identity checks usually finish in a few minutes. If it is still pending after that, the record is being reviewed by our team; you get a notification either way. If it has been more than a day, open Chat with support and quote the name on your BVN or NIN. Copy link
Why do you need my BVN?
Your BVN confirms you are who you say you are, protects your account from being taken over, and is required by regulation for the limits that come with higher levels. It is only used for verification and is never shown to other users. Copy link
What are the verification levels?
Level 1 is your phone number, level 2 your email, level 3 your BVN and level 4 your NIN. Each level raises your limits for purchases and transfers, and the BVN and NIN steps carry a small fee shown before you start. See your level and limits under Settings → Upgrade & Limits. Copy link
What is the liveness check?
A short selfie check in the app that confirms the person verifying is the owner of the BVN or NIN. Use good light, remove sunglasses and face masks, and follow the prompts. It takes under a minute. Copy link
My name on my BVN or NIN does not match
The name on your AidaPay account must match your BVN or NIN. If you registered with a different spelling or a nickname, change your account name under Settings → Account Information before verifying. If the error is on the BVN or NIN record itself, correct it with your bank or NIMC, then verify again. Copy link
I do not know my BVN or NIN
Dial *565*0# from the line linked to your bank account to see your BVN, and *346# for your NIN. Both are standard codes from the issuing bodies and may carry a small network charge. Copy link
Can I remove my BVN from AidaPay?
A BVN or NIN that has been verified stays linked to the account, because it is what the account's limits and history rest on. If you no longer want AidaPay to hold it, you can delete your account from Settings → Account Information; your data is then handled as described in our privacy policy. Copy link

Security

What is a Device Unlock Code (DUC)?
When you sign in from a device we have not seen before, we email you a Device Unlock Code. Entering it proves the new device belongs to you.

If you receive a DUC email you did not request, someone may have your password. Change it immediately and contact support. Copy link
How do I remove a device from my account?
Go to Settings → Account Security → Device Management. Tap Remove this device on the one you no longer use and confirm with your PIN.

A removed device can no longer sign in and will not receive a Device Unlock Code again. You cannot remove the device you are currently using. Copy link
I forgot my transaction PIN
Go to Settings → Account Security → Change/Reset Pin. You will confirm your identity before setting a new one.

For your safety we never show your existing PIN - it can only be replaced. Copy link
Someone is asking for my PIN or OTP. Is that you?
No. It is never us.

AidaPay staff will never ask for your PIN, password, OTP or Device Unlock Code - not by phone, not by SMS, not on social media. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you. Report it to us straight away. Copy link
Can I use fingerprint or Face ID instead of my PIN?
Yes. If your device and the AidaPay app support biometric authentication, you can use your fingerprint or Face ID for quicker and more convenient access.

To enable biometric authentication:

1. Enable biometric authentication in your device settings.
2. Enable biometric authentication in the AidaPay app, where available.
3. Use your fingerprint or Face ID to access your account when prompted.

Your transaction PIN may still be required for certain transactions or security purposes. Copy link
What are security questions for?
Security questions provide an additional layer of protection for your AidaPay account. They help verify your identity when performing certain account-related actions, such as recovering or securing your account.

Keep your security question answers confidential and never share them with anyone. Copy link
How do I change my password?
You can reset your AidaPay password directly from the login page.

1. Tap Forgot Password.
2. Enter the phone number or email address registered to your AidaPay account.
3. Tap Reset.
4. A password reset link will be sent to your registered email address.
5. Check your inbox, including your Spam/Junk folder, for the email.
6. Open the email and tap the password reset link.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new password.

If you have any issues resetting your password, contact AidaPay Support for assistance. Copy link
What is Always On Guard (AOG)?
Always On Guard (AOG) is an AidaPay security feature designed to help protect your account from unauthorized access and suspicious activity.

It provides an additional layer of security by monitoring your account and helping safeguard your funds and personal information. Copy link
How do the Always On Guard protection levels work?
Always On Guard (AOG) protection levels determine the level of security applied to your AidaPay account. Each level comes with different security checks and restrictions based on the protection level selected.

A higher protection level applies additional security measures to help protect your account from unauthorized access and transactions.

Choose a protection level that provides the security you need while keeping your AidaPay experience convenient. Copy link
Can I unlock Always On Guard with my fingerprint or Face ID?
Yes. You can unlock Always On Guard (AOG) using your fingerprint or Face ID, provided your device supports biometric authentication.

This gives you a quicker and more convenient way to unlock your account while maintaining an additional layer of security.

Make sure biometric authentication is enabled on your device to use this feature. Copy link
I'm stuck on the Always On Guard screen - what can I do?
If you’re stuck on the Always On Guard (AOG) screen, try these steps:

1. Close and reopen the AidaPay app.
2. Check that you have a stable internet connection.
3. Make sure your AidaPay app is updated to the latest version.
Try accessing the AOG screen again.

If the issue persists, contact AidaPay Support and share a screenshot of the screen you’re stuck on. This will help our team understand the issue and assist you more effectively.

Keeping your app updated can help ensure you have access to the latest features and fixes. Copy link
What is two-factor authentication?
An extra code at login, on top of your password. Turn it on under Settings → Security; your PIN is required to switch it on or off, and we alert you when it changes. Copy link
How do I change my transaction PIN?
Under Settings → Security choose change PIN and confirm with your current PIN. If you have forgotten it, use Reset PIN: an identity code is sent to your registered email or phone, and the new PIN follows by email. Copy link
What should I do if I think my account has been compromised?
Change your password at once, remove any device you do not recognise under Settings → Security → Devices, change your PIN, and turn on Always On Guard and two-factor authentication. Then tell support from Settings → Support so we can review the account. Copy link

Account

How do I update my personal details?
You can update your personal information directly from your AidaPay app.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your AidaPay account.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Account Information.
4. Tap Personal Information.
5. Select the detail you want to update.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Please note: Some account details, such as your registered phone number, cannot be changed. Copy link
Why is my account limited?
Your AidaPay account may be temporarily limited for security or verification purposes. This helps us protect your account and prevent unauthorized transactions.

If your account is limited:

1. Contact AidaPay Support for assistance.
2. Our support team will guide you through the required steps to restore full access to your account.

Please note: Account limitations are put in place to help keep your account and transactions secure. Copy link
How do I delete my account?
If you no longer wish to use AidaPay, you can delete your account directly from the app.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your AidaPay account.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Account Information.
4.Tap on Delete Account.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Please note: Deleting your account is an account-level action. Make sure you review the information on your screen before confirming. Copy link
Can I use one account on two phones?
No. For security reasons, your AidaPay account can only be actively used on one device at a time.

If you try to log in to your account on another phone:

1. You may be asked to complete the DUC Account Lock verification process.
2. Complete the required verification to regain access to your account.

Please note: This security measure helps protect your account from unauthorized access. Copy link
Can I change my name?
Yes, under Settings → Account Information, up to three times, and only while your account is below BVN level. Once your BVN or NIN is verified the name is fixed to match them. Changes are kept in your account history. Copy link
Can I change my phone number or email?
Your registered phone number cannot be changed. Your account, your limits and your identity checks are tied to it, so a new number means a new account. The app does not change your email either: open Chat with support under Settings, and our team will confirm the new address with you before updating it. Copy link
What happens when I delete my account?
Spend or withdraw your balances first; they cannot be recovered after deletion. Deletion removes your access and closes the account permanently. Start it from Settings → Account Information → Delete Account. Copy link

Rewards

What is the reward centre?
The Reward & Games Centre is your hub on AidaPay for discovering available rewards, promotions, and games that give you opportunities to earn rewards.

To access the Reward & Games Centre:

2. Select Extra.
3. Tap Reward & Games Center.

What are AidaPoints (AP)?
AidaPoints are reward points. You earn them on purchases (the receipt says how many), by keeping a Streak, by completing Offer4U milestones, in games and on tasks. Your balance is under Aida Points in Quick Links.
Spend them in the Reward Centre on games and the rewards on offer. They cannot be withdrawn as cash. Copy link
How does the leaderboard work?
The leaderboard ranks users by what they transact in the current month. Make transactions this month to climb; the board resets when a new month starts. Open it from Reward Centre → Leaderboard. Copy link
What games are in the Reward Centre?
Wheel of Fortune, Dice, Nigerian Ludo, Coin Toss, Danfo Race, Mystery Box, Penalty, Slot Machine and Tear & Win, with new ones added from time to time. Prizes are AidaPoints, vouchers and promo codes, and every win lands in Vouchers & Promo Codes or your AidaPoints balance. Copy link
How do I unlock a game?
Open the game and complete the steps it lists: usually a transaction today, or watching a short ad. Your purchases already count towards unlocking. When no ad is available, the game says so; try again a little later. Copy link
What are Predictions?
Call the result of an upcoming event and win vouchers if you are right. Unlock a prediction by watching an ad, predict once per event, and follow your entries under My Predictions. Turn on alerts to be told when results are out. Copy link
What is View Ads?
Watching a short ad unlocks games and predictions. When the ad closes early the reward is not earned, so let it play to the end. If ads are unavailable, none are being served to your device just now. Copy link
What are Tasks?
Tasks are offers from partners that pay you for completing an action. Open a task, tap Check Eligibility, complete it, upload proof if asked, and the earning shows as pending until the partner confirms it. Confirmed earnings become available for redemption. Copy link
What is the Recap?

Referrals

How do referrals work?
Share your code or link from Reward Centre → Refer & Earn. When a friend signs up with it, verifies their account and makes their first successful payment, you earn a reward, and more if they later become an agent. The amounts in force are always shown on the Refer & Earn page. Terms and conditions apply. Copy link
How does Refer & Earn work?
Share your code or link from Reward Centre → Refer & Earn. When a friend signs up with it and makes their first successful payment on AidaPay, you earn a reward - and a bigger one if they later become an agent.

The current amounts are always shown on your Refer & Earn page. Terms and conditions apply. Copy link
My friend signed up but I got nothing
Your referral reward is only credited when the person you referred signs up using your referral link or code and meets all the required referral conditions.

If your reward hasn't been credited:

1. Confirm that your friend signed up using your referral link or code.
2. Ensure they have completed all the required steps for the referral reward.
3. If all requirements have been met and you still haven't received your reward, contact AidaPay Support for further review.

Please note: Simply signing up does not automatically qualify a referral for a reward. The referred user must meet the applicable referral conditions. Copy link
What does "maturing" mean on Refer & Earn?
A new reward first appears in your referral balance as maturing. It becomes ready to withdraw as your friend keeps using AidaPay - paying bills, buying airtime and data, and making payments.

Each friend's progress bar on Refer & Earn shows how close their reward is. Some rewards mature quickly and others take longer, depending on how your friend uses AidaPay. Copy link
Why didn't I get a reward for a friend?
Your friend must sign up with your code or link, verify their account and make a successful first payment. Each friend earns you one reward.
We do not reward sign-ups that appear to be the same person as you, and we may withhold rewards that do not look genuine. Copy link
How do I withdraw my referral earnings?
Once a reward has matured, tap Withdraw on Refer & Earn. Referral earnings move to your main balance only, from the minimum shown on the page.
Each withdrawal is checked by our team, and you get a notification when it is approved. Copy link
Can I change my referral code?
Yes, once. Tap Edit on your code and confirm with your PIN. Links you have already shared keeps working. Copy link
I'm an FSA. Why don't I see Refer & Earn rewards?
As an FSA, the people you bring in are rewarded through the FSA programme instead. Switch to FSA mode to see them. Copy link
What is "Earn with AidaPay"?
It is the way into our Field Sales Agent (FSA) programme, the one the app calls Influencer mode.
As an FSA you get your own reference code. People who join AidaPay with it become your users, and you earn an incentive for each of them once they start transacting - plus a monthly FSA Target bonus on top of that.
Open it from Reward Centre → Earn with AidaPay, or from the bottom of the Referrals screen. The screen shows what we currently pay and what is expected of you. Terms and conditions apply. Copy link
Who can apply to become an FSA?
We look for people who are already bringing users in, so there can be two entry requirements: a number of users you have referred, and how much cashback those referred users have earned in the last 60 days.
The Earn with AidaPay screen shows the exact requirements in force today and how far along you are on each one. If a requirement is not set, it does not apply. Applications can also be closed for a period - the screen says so when they are. Copy link
How do I apply to become an FSA?
Open Reward Centre → Earn with AidaPay, fill in the short form - the reference code you would like, where you promote and how many people you can reach - and submit it.
You can only have one application under review at a time. Our team looks at it and you are told the outcome in the app; if it is turned down, the reason is shown on the same screen and you may apply again. Copy link
What happens once my FSA application is approved?
Your reference code is created and Influencer appears in the mode switcher. Everything to do with the programme - your users, your incentives, your FSA balance and your FSA Target - lives in that mode.
Your appointment runs for a set number of months, shown on the screen before you apply, and can be renewed. Your normal AidaPay account keeps working exactly as before. Copy link

Agents

What do I get as an AidaPay Agent?
Agents earn higher commission on every transaction - up to 3% on airtime, 10% on data and 5% on electricity and cable TV - plus extra spins in the reward centre, priority support and higher referral bonuses.

It is a one-time upgrade fee, charged once from your wallet. Copy link

Open Settings → Account → Become an AidaPay Agent, fill in your business details and confirm. Any activation fee is shown before you confirm. Agents earn more on every purchase, get agent-only perks and priority support, and can request API access. Copy link
What are agent levels?
Agents sit on levels that each carry their own cashback rate on data and other plans. The rate for your level is shown with each plan before you buy. Levels are set by AidaPay based on your activity. Copy link
Do agents get priority support?
Yes. Agents' requests are picked up ahead of the general queue, and from the Big Fish step of the Agent Target upwards you keep that priority as long as you stay on that step or above. Copy link
What is the Agent Target?
It is a monthly cashback goal for agents. Every agent sits on a step of a ladder, and each step carries a target and a reward rate.
Reach your target before the month ends and we pay you back a share of the cashback you earned that month, then move you up to the next step - where the target is bigger and the share is better. Miss it and you simply move down one step and try again.
You will find it in Reward Centre → Agent Target in Bill Payment mode, and on the card on your dashboard. Terms and conditions apply. Copy link
Which cashback counts towards my Agent Target?
Bill payment cashback you earn yourself - airtime, data, electricity, TV and the rest - between the first and the last day of the month.
ScanPay transfer cashback does not count. Transfers are already rewarded on their own terms, so counting them here would pay you twice for one transfer.
Cashback earned by people you referred does not count either. The Agent Target is about your own activity. Copy link
What happens when I reach my Agent Target?
Three things, once the month closes:
1. You are paid a reward worth a share of the cashback you actually earned that month - the share shown on your step.
2. You move up one step, so your next target and your next reward rate are both higher.
3. Your streak goes up by one. Reaching the target on the top step pays again every month - there is simply nowhere higher to climb. Copy link
What happens if I miss my target?
Nothing is paid for that month and you move down one step. That is the whole penalty - there is no fee, no charge and nothing is taken from your wallet.
You can never fall below the first step, and the step you land on carries its own reward rate, so missing a month does not leave you on a worse rate than that step normally pays. Copy link
How much is the reward, and when is it paid?
The reward is a percentage of the cashback you earned in the month, and the percentage is the one written on your step - the Agent Target screen shows it, along with the most you can be paid in a single month.
Months are counted in full: from the first day to the last, Lagos time. Shortly after a month ends we take the final figure for that month and pay everyone who reached their target, so expect it in the first days of the new month. Copy link
How do I receive my Agent Target reward?
As a voucher tied to your account. Nobody else can use it, and it is valid for a limited period, so load it as soon as you get it.
The code appears on the Agent Target screen under last month's result and is emailed to you. To load it, go to Deposit → Load Voucher in Bill Payment mode and enter the code - the value lands in your main wallet. Copy link
Why does my target figure look lower than my cashback history?
The target counts one thing only: bill payment cashback earned in the current month. Your cashback history shows everything - ScanPay transfers included, and earlier months too.
So a transfer you were paid cashback on, or cashback from last month, will appear in your history without moving the target bar. Once the month closes, the figure for that month is fixed and is never recalculated. Copy link
What are the steps on the Agent Cashback Target ladder?
There are eight steps. Each one has a monthly cashback target and a reward rate - the share of your month's cashback we pay back when you reach the target.
1. Baby Boss - target ₦2,000 - reward rate 10% - ₦200 at target
2. Hustler - target ₦5,000 - reward rate 15% - ₦750 at target
3. Sabi Boss - target ₦15,000 - reward rate 20% - ₦3,000 at target
4. Big Fish - target ₦20,000 - reward rate 20% - ₦4,000 at target
5. Odogwu - target ₦25,000 - reward rate 30% - ₦7,500 at target
6. Oga at the Top - target ₦50,000 - reward rate 45% - ₦22,500 at target
7. Chairman - target ₦75,000 - reward rate 60% - ₦45,000 at target
8. Presido - target ₦100,000 - reward rate 70% - ₦70,000 at target
Everyone starts on Baby Boss. Reach your target and you move up a step; miss it and you move down one. The ladder in force today is always shown in Reward Centre → Agent Cashback Target. Terms and conditions apply. Copy link
How is the "reward at target" on each step worked out?
It is the reward rate applied to the step's target - so on Hustler, 15% of ₦5,000 is ₦750.
That figure is what you get if you land exactly on the target. The rate is applied to the cashback you actually earned in the month, so earning more than the target pays more at the same rate. None of the steps currently has a cap on the monthly reward.
The higher the step, the bigger the share: from 10% on Baby Boss up to 70% on Presido, the top of the ladder. Copy link
Do the higher steps come with any extra perks?
Yes. Beyond the better reward rate on every step up:
Baby Boss - your monthly reward starts here.
Big Fish - you join the priority support queue, so your requests are picked up ahead of the general queue.
Oga at the Top - the highest reward rate on AidaPay at 45%, and from here the rates keep climbing through Chairman and Presido.
Perks apply for as long as you are on that step or above it. Copy link

Transactions

My transfer has not arrived. What should I do?
Most transfers land within minutes, but a bank can occasionally take longer at peak times.

First check the transaction in your history - if it shows Successful, the money has left us and the receiving bank is still processing it. If it shows Failed, the amount is returned to your wallet automatically, usually within a few minutes.

Still stuck after an hour? Send us the transaction reference and we will trace it. Copy link
I was debited but my airtime or data did not arrive
This is usually caused by the network provider rejecting the request after you were debited. When this happens, the transaction fails and the amount is reversed back to your wallet balance.

Most reversals happen automatically. If your wallet has not been credited after 30 minutes, contact support in the app with the transaction hash shown on your receipt so it can be checked and comfirm deleivery Copy link
Can I cancel a transaction after sending it?
No. Once a transaction is submitted it cannot be cancelled or reversed from our side, because the funds move immediately.

Always confirm the account name and number on the confirmation screen before you enter your PIN. Copy link
Which banks can I send money to?
You can send to any Nigerian bank account. Start a transfer, choose the bank, enter the account number and we will confirm the account name before you pay. Copy link
My transaction says Processing. What does that mean?
The network or supplier has accepted the order but has not confirmed delivery yet. We check it automatically and send you a notification when it completes or fails. Do not buy the same thing again until you have that notification; most orders settle within minutes, a few can take longer during network delays. Copy link
When do I get a refund for a failed transaction?
Automatically. When an order fails, the full amount goes back to the balance it came from and the transaction shows Refund; a cashback already paid on it is taken back at the same time. Most refunds land within minutes of the failure; a pending order that cannot be confirmed is refunded once the check gives up, at most within a day. Copy link
I bought for the wrong number
A completed purchase cannot be reversed: the network has already delivered the airtime or data to that number, and networks do not move it. Always check the number on the confirmation screen before you enter your PIN. Saving the people you buy for as Beneficiaries avoids typing mistakes. Copy link
What is the transaction hash?
The unique reference of a transaction, shown on its receipt. Quote it whenever you contact support about a payment so we can find it immediately. Copy link
Where are my older transactions?
Transactions older than 60 days move to Archived in Quick Links. Everything is still there, and you can still open and share each receipt. Copy link
How do I download a statement?
Open Statements from Quick Links, choose the period and the balance, and download the PDF. Single receipts can be downloaded from the transaction details screen. Copy link
What is the session ID on a transfer receipt?
Every bank transfer carries a session ID issued by the banking network. It is on the receipt of the transfer. If a recipient says the money has not arrived, give them the session ID: their bank can trace the payment with it. Copy link

Using the App

How do I delete a saved beneficiary?
To remove a saved contact or account from your beneficiaries, follow these steps:

1. Go to Extra in the app.
2. Tap Beneficiaries.
3. Locate the beneficiary you want to remove and tap the delete icon.
4. Select Yes to confirm the deletion. Copy link
How do I turn on dark mode?
Settings → Application Settings → Dark Mode. It applies at once and the app remembers it. Copy link
The app says I need to update
Update AidaPay from the Play Store or App Store, then reopen it. Some features only work on newer versions, and we sometimes require an update for security fixes. Copy link
Can I turn off the sound after a transaction?
Yes. Go to Settings → Application Settings and switch off the transaction sound. Copy link
Where are my notifications?
Tap the bell on the dashboard. Transaction results, rewards and announcements all land there. If you do not receive push notifications, allow them for AidaPay in your phone's settings. Copy link
What are Quick Links?
The shortcuts on the dashboard to the parts of AidaPay you use most: transactions, beneficiaries, rewards, statements and more. They change with the mode you are in. Copy link
What is Linked Businesses?
A way to bring a business you know onto AidaPay. Submit the business's number under Linked Businesses; a staff member checks it and links it to you, and you are told either way. Earnings from linked businesses show there and can be withdrawn once available. Copy link
Is there a web version of AidaPay?
The app is where everything happens. The website at aidapay.ng has the product list, the API reference and the support pages; businesses manage their API from the Business dashboard there. Copy link

Support

How do I contact support?
Go to Settings → Support or tap Get Help. You can chat with us in the app, raise a ticket, or email support@aidapay.ng. For anything about a transaction, include its transaction hash from the receipt so we find it at once. Copy link
What is a complaint ticket?
A ticket is a support request that is tracked until it is closed. You get a reply in the app and a notification each time it moves. Open one from Settings → Support and include the transaction hash if it is about a payment. Copy link
Where do I find my transaction receipt?
Open the transaction in Transactions. The details screen is the receipt: it shows the reference, the transaction hash, the session ID for bank transfers, and any token or PIN that was delivered. You can share it or download it as a PDF from there. Copy link
Who is Julie?
Julie is AidaPay's assistant. She answers in the support chat around the clock, checks your transactions for you and solves most issues on the spot. Anything she cannot settle is handed to our team, and you are told when that happens. Copy link
How long does support take to reply?
Chat gets an answer within minutes at any hour. Tickets that need a person are handled in order during working hours, and you get a notification each time yours moves. Copy link
How do I dispute a debit?
Open the transaction and tap the support option on it, or raise a ticket with the transaction hash. Attach your receipt or bank statement if the debit is on your bank side. Failed purchases are refunded automatically, so check the transaction status first. Copy link

Streaks

What are Streaks?
Streaks reward you for using AidaPay day after day. Every day you keep your streak going adds to it, and reaching a milestone on your streak ladder pays you AidaPoints.
Find them in Reward Centre → Streaks. Copy link
How do I keep my streak going?
Daily check-in: check in once a day from the Streaks card. One check-in counts for the day, whichever mode you are in.
Bill Payment streak: your successful purchases that day must add up to at least the minimum shown on the Streaks screen.
ScanPay streak: make a successful ScanPay bank transfer of at least the minimum shown.
Influencer (FSA) streak: bring in at least one new person with your code that day.
Each streak counts on its own, by Nigerian time (midnight to midnight). Copy link
What happens if I miss a day?
If you have a freeze left for the month, it covers the missed day automatically and your streak carries on. Without one, the streak starts again from zero, but your best streak is kept.
The Streaks screen shows how many freezes you have left. We may also send a reminder in the evening if today has not counted yet. Copy link
Why didn't my purchase count towards my streak?
Purchases made through the API and purchases that renew automatically (auto-renew) do not count, because they are not something you did that day. A purchase that fails or is refunded is taken back, and so is the day if it no longer reaches the minimum.
For ScanPay, moving money between your own balances and transfers made from a linked app do not count. Copy link
Why haven't I received my streak AidaPoints?
Streak rewards are paid once your account has made its first real purchase on AidaPay, and some rewards may need your account to be verified. There is also a monthly limit on streak points.
A reward that cannot be paid yet is kept and paid as soon as the reason is cleared. The Streaks screen shows what is waiting and why. Copy link

Offer4U

What is Offer4U?
Offer4U gives you personal offers picked for you, such as a welcome offer. Use AidaPay as you normally do, and each purchase that counts brings you closer to rewards like AidaPoints, promo codes and vouchers.
You will see your offer on your dashboard and in Reward Centre → Offer4U. Copy link
How do I start an offer?
Open the offer and tap Start. You must start it before the date shown on the offer, and once started it runs for the number of days it shows. Only purchases made after you tap Start count.
The offer screen shows what counts (for example, purchases above a minimum amount) and how many days are left. Copy link
I reached a milestone. Why has my reward not arrived?
New rewards are held for a short time while we confirm the purchases that earned them. The offer screen shows when each reward will be added, and we send you a notification the moment it is paid.
If a purchase is refunded before its reward is paid, the progress it gave is taken back and the reward may be cancelled. Copy link
Where do I find my Offer4U reward?
AidaPoints go straight to your AidaPoints balance.
Promo codes are for your next purchase; some can only be used on certain services, as shown with the code.
Vouchers are in Vouchers & Promo Codes. Some vouchers can only be used once your account meets the conditions shown on the voucher, such as a minimum balance.
Promo codes and vouchers have an expiry date, so use them before then. Copy link
Why didn't my purchase count towards my offer?
A purchase counts only if it was made after you started the offer and before it ended, meets the minimum amount shown on the offer, and was successful. Purchases made through the API do not count.
Your progress may take a moment to update after a purchase - pull down to refresh the offer screen. Copy link

Deposits

What is a one-time account?
A one-time account lets you add money to your Bill Payment balance by bank transfer from any bank app, without setting up a permanent account. We open an account number for that one payment, and it closes after a short time.
Tap Add money → One-time account, enter the amount, then send exactly that amount to the account shown. Copy link
How much should I send to a one-time account?
Send exactly the amount shown, in one transfer, before the time on the screen runs out. A different amount, or a transfer after the account closes, is not accepted: the bank provider sends it back to the account it came from. AidaPay never holds it. Copy link
Is there a charge for a one-time account?
There may be a small charge, and it is always shown before you open the account, together with the amount that will land in your balance.
Verify your account once to get a permanent account in your name, usually with lower charges. Copy link
I sent money but my balance has not changed. What should I do?
Most transfers are added within a few moments; keep the one-time account screen open and it updates by itself.
If the account closed or the amount was different, your bank receives the money back from the provider. If it has not come back, or your balance still has not updated, tap Chat with support on the account screen and share your transfer receipt. Copy link

Promo Codes

How do I use a promo code?
On the buy screen, type the code into Promo Code (Optional) and tap the tick beside it. A green tick means the code is accepted and the amount to pay drops by the discount; a red cross shows why it was not accepted.
The code must be verified before you can continue, so if you change the amount or the recipient, verify it again. Copy link
Why does my promo code say invalid?
The usual reasons are: the code was typed wrongly; it has expired; it is only for a particular service or provider; your purchase is below the minimum amount for that code; it was made for new users, for agents, or for named people only; or the code has reached its usage limit.
The red message under the field tells you which one applies. If it says the code is no longer valid for you, you have already used it. Copy link
Can I use a promo code on any service?
Some codes work on everything; many are tied to one service (for example data only) or one provider. Where a code is limited, the limit is shown with the code in Vouchers & Promo Codes, and the buy screen will refuse it on anything else. Copy link
How many times can I use a promo code?
Most codes work once per person. A few are reusable, and those say so where you received them. Every code also has a validity period and may have a limit on the total number of people who can use it, so use it early. Copy link
Where do I find the promo codes I have won?
Codes you win in the Reward Centre or through Offer4U are kept in Vouchers & Promo Codes (Quick Links on the dashboard). Tap Redeem on a code and the services list opens with that code already applied. Each code shows its expiry and whether it has been used. Copy link

Vouchers

How do I load a voucher?
Open Deposit, scroll to Other ways to fund and tap AidaPay voucher. Enter the 12 characters printed on the voucher and tap Load voucher. The value is added to your Bill Payment balance as soon as the code is verified.
A voucher from Vouchers & Promo Codes can be loaded by tapping Redeem on it: the Deposit screen opens with the code filled in. Copy link
Why can't I load my voucher?
Each voucher works once, so a voucher that was already loaded (by you or anyone else) is refused. A voucher also has a start and end date, and some can only be loaded once your account meets a condition, such as a minimum wallet balance or a minimum amount of past purchases; the message tells you what is needed.
Promo vouchers are limited to one per person in any 24 hours. If a voucher still will not load, send the code to support from Chat with support. Copy link
Which balance does a voucher go into?
Vouchers are added to your Bill Payment balance and can be spent on airtime, data, bills and the other services. They cannot be withdrawn or transferred to a bank as cash. Copy link
Where do I find the vouchers I have won?
Vouchers from the Reward Centre and Offer4U land in Vouchers & Promo Codes, reached from Quick Links on the dashboard. Each one shows its value, its expiry and whether it has been used. Tap Redeem to load it. Copy link

Developers & API

Does AidaPay have an API?
Yes. Open a Business account at aidapay.ng/business, verify to level 3 and activate as an agent, then generate your token under Settings → API Settings in the Business dashboard. The reference, with every endpoint and a live tester, is at aidapay.ng/api. Copy link
Is the API free?
There is no setup or monthly fee. Each purchase made through the API is charged at your agent price from your wallet, and the pricing endpoint lists your rates for every plan. Copy link
How do webhooks work?
Set your HTTPS webhook URL under API Settings. We send a signed request each time a transaction changes status; verify the signature with your token and treat only Completed as delivered. The simulator on the API page lets you test your endpoint before going live. Copy link
Can I build my own VTU platform on AidaPay?
Yes. The API covers airtime, data, cable TV, electricity, education and the other services, with validation, purchase and status endpoints, so you can run your own app or website on top of it. Copy link
