Every Jinja channel number, and what Smallie and Jolli change

GOtv Jinja costs ₦3,900 a month. It carries the Africa Magic language channels and three SuperSport channels. It doesn't carry Zee World or the Premier League.

GOtv sells Jinja as "45+ channels", yet count the channels in its own genre groups and you land on 49. Here's the full GOtv Jinja channels list, sorted by number. After it comes the money question. Should you drop to Smallie, stay where you are, or move up to Jolli before your next renewal?

The GOtv Jinja channels list, number by number (49, not 45+)

Match channels by number, not by name. Names can look slightly different on your screen, but the number you press on the remote doesn't change.

Channels as at 10 October 2026. A "Yes" in the last column means Smallie doesn't carry that channel.

Twenty of them are local stations like Lagos TV, OGTV and Arewa 24, so if your evenings are mostly NTA and your state broadcaster, that's exactly where Jinja puts its weight.

Movies are thin. Africa Magic Epic is the only dedicated movie channel, and most of the Nollywood you'll actually sit through comes from the language channels and Africa Magic Family.

Then the sport. None of the three SuperSport channels shows the Premier League. Don't renew Jinja expecting Saturday EPL.

Smallie at ₦1,900 or Jinja at ₦3,900?

Smallie costs ₦1,900 a month, so Jinja runs you more than double. Smallie has 35+ channels and comes in quarterly and yearly plans too. Jinja is monthly only. So is Jolli.

A step comparison showing GOtv Smallie, Jinja and Jolli prices and the channels each package adds
Jinja sits between Smallie and Jolli — here's exactly what each extra step buys.

AidaPay sells all three at GOtv's prices, and every purchase earns 0.15% cashback. On Jinja, that's ₦5.85 back each month. You can pay for your own decoder or a parent's in another town: renew GOtv Jinja with your IUC number.

So what does the extra ₦2,000 buy? You get thirteen channels Smallie doesn't carry, each marked "Yes" in the table. For most homes, the five Africa Magic channels are the real draw. Arise News and News Central come along, and so do SuperSport Kickoff and SuperSport Africa. Smallie has one sports channel. No movie channel either.

If your mum's whole evening revolves around Africa Magic Yoruba, Smallie won't do, and you'll hear about it at breakfast.

Jinja earns its price in three kinds of homes. The first is a Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo Nollywood household, because those language channels only start at Jinja. News watchers are next. They get Arise and News Central on top of Channels and TVC. Then there's the football fan who follows African and local games on Kickoff and SuperSport Africa and can live without English football on a Saturday afternoon.

If you mostly watch NTA, local stations and religious channels, stay on Smallie and keep the difference in your pocket. Smallie's longer plans are a bonus.

GOtv Jinja vs Jolli: what the extra ₦1,900 adds

Jolli costs ₦1,900 more a month. For that, you get 12 channels Jinja lacks. The big three are Zee World on channel 30, Telemundo and Disney Junior.

If your house runs on Indian and Latin American soaps, or there's a toddler who wants cartoons before school, those three channels alone justify the extra money.

CNN and BBC World News come with Jolli, and ESPN brings American sport. Rok, Hip TV, Televista and Discovery Family come too. So do TNT Africa and Nat Geo Wild. And still, neither package has a Premier League channel, so the EPL question doesn't change when you move up from Jinja to Jolli.

Older channel lists online still put E!, Nickelodeon, Emmanuel TV and PBS Kids on Jinja. None of them is on Jinja today. If a list doesn't match, trust GOtv's own Jinja page and a channel scan on your decoder.

Paying for Jinja without losing a day of TV

Pay before your due date and the decoder never goes dark.

  1. Find your IUC number on the sticker under the decoder, or press the info button on your GOtv remote to see it on screen.
  2. On AidaPay, where you can pay for cable TV in one place, choose GOtv, then GOtv Jinja.
  3. Type in the IUC number and read it back digit by digit.
  4. Pay, and keep the receipt until your channels open.

Switching from Smallie or Jolli works the same way. Pick the new package when you renew, and the change starts from that renewal. Jinja is monthly, so you'll go through these steps every month, and if the channels stay scrambled after you've paid, the GOtv E16 error fix walks you through getting them back.

Only need local and news channels? Use the same steps for Smallie and pick its quarterly or yearly plan, so one payment covers several months.

Tonight, scroll to channel 2, Africa Magic Yoruba. Jinja covers you there. Now try channel 30 for Zee World, and you'll see the one thing Jinja can't give you without moving up to Jolli.
