Find your Glo number for free, even on a zero balance

Finding your own Glo number costs nothing. Dial *135*8# from the Glo SIM and it shows on screen, even with no airtime or data. If that fails, a free backup menu and a call centre are waiting.

Knowing how to check number on Glo matters most on the day you top up, because one wrong digit sends your money to a stranger's line and getting it back is hard work. Codes and prices here are as at 10 October 2026.

How to check number on Glo, and what each way costs

Use the Glo SIM itself. Stop as soon as the number appears.

  1. Dial *135*8#.
  2. If it says invalid, dial *301*10#, choose My Tariff, then the second option.
  3. If both fail, call 300.

USSD code to check your Glo number: *135*8# and *301*10#

Start with *135*8#. It's the usual code, and it sits in the full list of Glo USSD codes. Glo doesn't publish it, though, so a few lines reply with an error instead of your number.

Your backup is *301*10#. That menu is Glo's own tool for managing your line, and choosing My Tariff, then the second option, should bring up your number. Glo never spells out that exact path. Treat it as a second try, not a sure thing.

Wondering how to check your Glo number without airtime? Neither code needs a balance or a bundle. Both work on an empty line.

Calling 300 or 0805 002 0121

From the Glo SIM, dial 300 for the prepaid call centre. On another network, ring 0805 002 0121 instead; it's an ordinary phone number, so MTN or Airtel bills you their normal call rate while you wait for an agent.

The SIM pack, a friend's phone and Glo Café

Your number is printed on the Glo SIM card pack. If you think you threw it away, check the kitchen drawer first.

Flashing a friend is quicker. Your number lands on their screen within seconds of the first ring, though the call does need a little airtime on your side.

The Glo Café app shows your number as well, but logging in needs the number and some data, which means the app can't help anyone who has already forgotten it.

The ₦440 typo: what a wrong digit costs

Say you've just got a new Glo SIM and need a month of data. On AidaPay, Glo's 1GB monthly plan costs ₦440, with ₦5.18 back. You type the number from memory, two digits swap places without you noticing, and you tap pay anyway.

Somewhere in Ikorodu, a stranger just got free data. Wrong top-ups are hard to reverse. That money is usually gone.

Buying weekly makes the risk bigger. The weekly plan with the same gigabyte costs ₦360 on AidaPay, with ₦3.60 back. Stack four of those and your month costs ₦1,000 more than the single monthly plan, while handing you four chances to mistype the number instead of one.

Airtime follows the same logic. Glo airtime on AidaPay earns 2% cashback. You can top up anything from ₦50 to ₦10,000, and a wrong number swallows the whole top-up, not just the cashback.

Get the number right once, save it, and the plan you pick becomes the smaller decision.

Glo data prices for your confirmed number: 1GB ₦440 to 10GB ₦4,400

Do the check once. After that, stop typing the number by hand.

Save the number once you've confirmed it, then paste it instead of retyping.
  1. Dial *135*8# on the Glo SIM.
  2. Save it as a contact called "My Glo".
  3. When you buy data or airtime, copy the number from that contact and paste it in.
  4. Compare the number on the confirm screen with your saved contact before you pay.

Glo monthly data plans on AidaPay, with the cashback on each:

PlanPrice
Glo 1GB - 30 Days₦440 (₦5.18 cashback)
Glo 2GB - 30 Days₦880 (₦10.35 cashback)
Glo 5GB - 30 Days₦2,200 (₦25.88 cashback)
Glo 10GB - 30 Days₦4,400 (₦51.76 cashback)
Glo AWUF 2.6GB - 30 Days₦960 (₦9.60 cashback)

You can buy Glo data for your confirmed number or for anyone else's line, as long as you paste the number in. Every regular plan works out at ₦440 per gigabyte. AWUF is the exception at about ₦369 per gigabyte, which makes it the better buy whenever its allowance covers how much you use in a month.

Once the data lands, dial *323#. It's the harmonised data balance code on every Nigerian network, Glo included. For airtime, try *310#, though Glo's menus vary from one line to the next, so keep the data balance codes for every network handy in case one of them doesn't answer.

Paste the number, don't retype it. Eleven digits typed from memory on a cracked screen is how wrong-number top-ups happen.

When no code shows your Glo number: new, barred or recycled SIM

If every code throws an error, suspect the line rather than the code. A new SIM may not be active yet.

Redial *135*8# from the Glo SIM itself, not from a second SIM sitting in the same phone, and give the *301*10# menu one more go while you're at it. Still nothing? Call 300 from the Glo SIM, or ring the 0805 line from another network.

When all of that fails, your SIM may be inactive, barred because your NIN isn't linked, or recycled after a long spell without use. None of those can be fixed from a keypad. Take the SIM and a valid ID, such as your NIN slip, to a Gloworld shop. Look up the nearest branch with the store finder on gloworld.com before you set out.

Dial *135*8# now, save whatever comes up as "My Glo", and your next top-up will land on the line you meant to fill.

Frequently asked questions

Can I check my Glo number without airtime?
Yes. *135*8# costs nothing and works on a zero balance, and the *301*10# backup menu needs no data either.
What is the Glo customer care number?
Dial 300 from a Glo line. From any other network, ring 0805 002 0121 and you'll pay that network's normal call rate.
Why does *135*8# say invalid on my line?
Glo doesn't publish *135*8#, so some lines reject it. Try *301*10# next, then call 300. If nothing works, the line may be inactive or barred, so take the SIM and a valid ID such as your NIN slip to a Gloworld shop.
How much is Glo 1GB for 30 days?
It costs ₦440 on AidaPay, with ₦5.18 back, as at 10 October 2026. Prices change, so check the app before you buy.
What's the USSD code to check my number on a Glo SIM?
Dial *135*8# from the Glo SIM. It's free and needs no airtime or data. If it says invalid, try *301*10# and pick My Tariff, then the second option.
Can I see my Glo number online or in the Glo Café app?
The app shows it after you log in, but logging in needs the number plus some data. If you've forgotten the number, a USSD code from the Glo SIM is faster.
Where is my number on the Glo SIM card pack?
It's printed on the pack itself, so check wherever you keep old packaging. If the pack is gone, dial *135*8# from the Glo SIM instead.
