How to Watch El Clasico in Nigeria: ₦320 StarTimes, DStv or Phone

Sunday's El Clásico, Barcelona vs Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou, kicks off at 9pm Nigerian time on 25 October. You can watch it on a StarTimes decoder, on DStv or GOtv through SuperSport, or on your phone with the StarTimes ON or DAZN app.

Spain moves its clocks back one hour in the early hours of Sunday, which is why kick-off lands at 9pm in Barcelona and in Lagos at the same moment. Below is how to watch El Clasico in Nigeria on the screen you already own, and what each route costs.

LaLiga rights in Nigeria: DAZN, StarTimes and SuperSport

Three broadcasters can show LaLiga across sub-Saharan Africa this season. In August, DAZN signed a deal covering every match of every round until the end of the 2028/29 season. StarTimes holds non-exclusive rights for the same stretch, and it's putting Sunday's game on its sports channels.

A lot of fans assumed the DAZN deal pushed LaLiga off DStv and GOtv. It didn't. SuperSport opened the new season with LaLiga live on its SuperSport La Liga channel and on selected Maximo channels, and you'll find both on DStv as well as GOtv.

Which route suits you depends on one thing: the screen you already pay for.

You have a StarTimes antenna or dish and want just this match

Buy a one-day pass. Classic on an antenna costs ₦320 for the day. Super on a dish costs ₦600, and one day covers the whole match with room for the build-up.

The weekly Classic pass costs ₦2,000. Six day passes come to ₦1,920, so the weekly pass only pays off if you'll watch on all seven days.

Check your decoder's TV guide first, because the channel matters (more on that below). Once the match shows up in the listing, you can renew your StarTimes daily or weekly bouquet from your phone.

You're watching on your phone, on data

Install StarTimes ON or DAZN before Sunday and sign in. Each app charges for its own pass, and your data comes on top of that.

DAZN works in Nigeria. The app is in the Nigerian App Store, and DAZN charges Nigerian viewers in naira. Check the DAZN Nigeria price for LaLiga on the plan screen in the app before you tap pay.

Data is where most phone viewers get caught out. 90 minutes plus half-time uses roughly 1–1.5GB at standard quality. HD eats more, so a 1GB day plan can run dry before the final whistle.

Go for the 2.5GB Daily AWUF plan instead. It costs ₦738, about ₦295 per GB against ₦492 for the 1GB plan, and covers even a 1.5GB match with room to spare. Buy it on Sunday evening, since a daily plan bought on Saturday can expire before kick-off.

Your home already pays for DStv or GOtv

Check your bouquet before you spend anything. If your package includes SuperSport La Liga or the Maximo channels, you're covered and you pay nothing extra.

If it doesn't, the phone route is the quickest fix for one match, and if you'd been meaning to move up a bouquet anyway, you can pay for DStv, GOtv or StarTimes online before Sunday.
