New GOtv Packages: Prices From ₦4,000 and Where Jolli Went
GOtv now sells four packages, from Easy at ₦4,000 to Sports at ₦21,000. Here's which one shows the Premier League, what happens to Jolli and Max, and how to check your renewal.

GOtv in Nigeria now sells four packages, from Easy at ₦4,000 a month to Sports at ₦21,000. Only GOtv Sports shows every Premier League match. Jolli, Max and the other old packages are gone. Your current decoder still works.
The four new GOtv packages are Easy, Starter, Select and Sports, and they replaced the old line-up on 5 November 2026. A price list going round family WhatsApp groups put Starter at ₦4,000, but that's the price of Easy, so whoever typed it mixed up two packages. The table shows each package, its channel count and who it suits.
GOtv subscription prices in Nigeria per month, as at 7 November 2026:
| Package | Channels | Best for | Price a month (AidaPay, with cashback) |
|---|---|---|---|
| GOtv Easy | 47+ | Keeping the TV on for news and local shows | ₦4,000 (₦6 back) |
| GOtv Starter | 68+ | More entertainment, some selected live sport | ₦6,000 (₦9 back) |
| GOtv Select | 87+ | Films, children's shows and some football | ₦11,000 (₦16.50 back) |
| GOtv Sports | 94+ | Every Premier League match | ₦21,000 (₦31.50 back) |
Which GOtv package shows the Premier League?
Choose Sports. It's the only package with every Premier League game, including the late kick-offs your friends argue about at the viewing centre on a Sunday evening. Select carries football content and Starter has some selected live sport, yet neither is sold as full league coverage. A package that mentions football won't automatically show your club's Saturday kick-off. Read the channel list first.
Champions League, WWE and UFC are meant to sit on Sports too. Confirm each one on the GOtv channel list before paying extra for it.
Here's a worked example. Say your house watches films most evenings and only the big weekend matches matter. Sports costs ₦10,000 a month more than Select. Over a full year that's ₦120,000 extra, which is a lot of jollof for a few Saturday afternoons. Because you can change package each time you renew, a fan who only cares about the run-in can pay for Sports in those months and drop back to Select afterwards.
Against Starter the jump is bigger, at ₦15,000 a month. DStv also has a package called Starter, so check the GOtv Starter channel list for any channel you're counting on.
Moving from Jolli, Max or Supa to the new GOtv packages
Nothing changes on your TV stand. You keep the same decoder, dish and IUC number, so there's nothing to buy or install before your next renewal. On DStv, MultiChoice moved subscribers automatically at no extra cost, onto a package with at least the channels they already had. For GOtv, your own account screen is the only reliable answer to where you landed.

GOtv has no official one-to-one list of old and new names. Treat any post that says Jolli becomes Starter, or that Max becomes Select, as a guess. The check in the next section shows your real package in about a minute.
DStv did publish a mapping from old to new packages. It covers DStv accounts only. Even where the names match, don't use it to work out your GOtv package.
Paid several months ahead? Look at the due date on *288# first. DStv honours prepaid months until the period ends, but GOtv hasn't put a separate rule in writing, so mark the end date and check the renewal amount again on that day.
How to check your GOtv package and renewal amount on *288#
A quick check stops you paying the old Jolli amount into an account that now needs a different sum. Do it before every renewal for the next couple of months, until the new price feels familiar:
- Find the IUC number on your GOtv decoder and write it down.
- Dial *288#, or open the MyGOtv app.
- Look at the package name, the renewal amount and the due date on your account.
- Match the IUC number on screen with the one on your decoder.
- If the package isn't the one you expected, contact GOtv's official support before you pay.
*288# not loading? Dial it again, or switch to the MyGOtv app. Take a screenshot of the package name and amount so both are to hand when you pay.
Don't top up a guessed figure. Paying less than the new renewal price can leave you short, and then you're stuck chasing support while the screen stays dark on match day.
When you pay, type in the IUC number and read the name that comes up before you confirm. One wrong digit can belong to somebody else's decoder. Once the name matches, pick the package your account showed and pay for your GOtv subscription. For a DStv in the other room, the new DStv packages and renewal follow the same idea.
Tonight, dial *288#. Note the package and amount it shows, then pay that exact figure before your due date.
