Glo Tariff Plans and Migration Codes: *606# vs *301# in 2026

TalkMasta on *606# or Super Talk on *301#: which one fits you

Glo has two voice plans you can join today: TalkMasta Reloaded on *606# and Super Talk on *301#. Super Talk is cheaper for a few short calls a day, while TalkMasta wins once you talk long enough to use its free minutes. Switching takes one USSD dial and a confirmation text.

Those are the only Glo tariff plans and migration codes open to new joiners. Prices as at 17 October 2026. Yakata, Bounce and Infinito are off the list, and the last section covers lines still sitting on one of them.

How to check your tariff plan on Glo first: dial #100#

Dial #100# from the Glo line you want to move. The reply names your current plan. That one answer tells you if you're picking between the two plans open today or leaving an old one behind for good.

Don't rush the next part. If the old plan still has free minutes or bonus data on it, spend them before you move so nothing gets left behind. There's no stated migration fee or monthly switch limit for either plan. Even so, jot down your airtime balance before you dial and check it again after the move, then give the new plan a few weeks before you judge it.

TalkMasta 30k/s or Super Talk 15.5k/s: the real cost per minute

Texts cost ₦6 each on both plans, so the real difference sits in the call rate and in what browsing costs you without a bundle. Multiply a kobo-per-second rate by 60 and you get the minute price. TalkMasta comes to ₦18 a minute. On Super Talk, a minute costs ₦9.30.

Comparison chart of Glo TalkMasta Reloaded versus Super Talk cost per minute and access fee
TalkMasta's bonus halves the rate; Super Talk stays flat but adds a daily access fee.

TalkMasta Reloaded: the free minutes halve the rate

Pay for 6 minutes of calls and TalkMasta gives you the same again free, along with some bonus data. Those paid minutes don't need to come from one call; they can build up across several short calls through the day, which suits you if you ring people in quick bursts. Use the whole bonus and you're paying about ₦9 a minute. Browsing outside a bundle costs ₦3/MB.

The catch is the clock. Free minutes and data last 24 hours from the moment they land, and they won't cover texts or international calls. Talk for a few minutes and then go quiet all day, and the bonus gives you nothing back.

Super Talk: one flat rate, plus a fee on days you call

Super Talk charges one flat rate to every local network, with no bonus to chase. Pay-as-you-go browsing is half the TalkMasta price. There's one extra: Glo adds a ₦15 access fee, before VAT, on your first outgoing call each day. Incoming calls don't trigger it, so a day when you only receive calls, or make none at all, costs you nothing in fees.

Keep a little airtime on the line. If your balance can't cover that access fee, you can still call, but local calls then cost 22 kobo a second, which is steeper than the normal Super Talk rate.

Two ordinary days worked out: 3 minutes vs 12 minutes

Say you call your mum for three minutes and that's your whole day of calling, so you never get anywhere near the TalkMasta bonus. That costs ₦54. Super Talk charges ₦42.90 for the same day, access fee included.

A busy day flips it. Take a dozen minutes of calls, with every free minute used before it runs out. TalkMasta charges ₦108 for the lot, while Super Talk comes to ₦126.60.

So if your calls are short and few, Super Talk is the cheapest Glo tariff plan, and if you have long daily chats that burn through the free minutes, TalkMasta pays off.

Data can tip the choice too. If your phone rarely goes online, Super Talk's cheaper browsing rate is enough. Once WhatsApp runs all day, a bundle wins. On AidaPay, the Glo 1GB monthly bundle costs ₦440, and you get ₦5.18 of that back as cashback.

Glo tariff plans and migration codes: the switch, step by step

Do the switch from the SIM you're moving, with a little airtime on it.

  1. Dial #100# to confirm the plan you're on now.
  2. Use up any bonus minutes or data left on the old plan.
  3. Dial *606# for TalkMasta Reloaded, or *301# for Super Talk.
  4. Read the menu that appears and choose the option to join the plan.
  5. Wait for the confirmation SMS.
  6. Dial *310# to see your bonus balance.

The menu is where people slip. On *301#, the screens that join you to Super Talk also let you buy data from your main balance or move back to another plan. Read each one before you press a number. A tired thumb at the end of a long day can pay for data when all you wanted was a new tariff.

If no SMS arrives, dial #100# again and see if the plan name has changed, and on TalkMasta check *310# for the bonus too. If both still look wrong, call 300 or use the live chat on gloworld.com.

TalkMasta free minutes and data expire a day after they land, so plan your long calls for the same day. New TalkMasta lines also get a welcome bonus: either ₦2,100, or ₦600 of voice (20 minutes) that also brings 2GB of data and a month of Glo TV Premium. Whichever you get stays on that line and can't be shared or transferred.

Change your mind later and you just dial the other plan's code. No fee is stated for a second switch either, so check your balance before and after.

Still on Yakata, Bounce or Infinito? Why the old codes don't agree

Yakata and Bounce are closed to new joiners, and so are Infinito and Berekete. That leaves Super Talk and TalkMasta Reloaded as the only voice plans you can move to.

Old migration codes for those plans still float around online, and the versions contradict each other. None of them is an official code today. If you've already dialled one, check #100# to see which plan your line is really on.

A legacy plan keeps its rates until you move. Glo no longer offers those plans, so once you switch, you probably can't go back.

On either current plan, calls come out of your main balance. You can top up Glo airtime with 2% cashback whenever it runs low, from ₦50 up.

Your next step is quick: dial #100#, spend any leftover bonus, then dial the code that fits how you call. For balance checks and other shortcuts, keep all the Glo USSD codes in one place.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest tariff plan on Glo?
For a few short calls a day, Super Talk usually costs less, even with its daily access fee. TalkMasta Reloaded only gets close once you use your free minutes within the day.
Does Glo charge me to change my tariff plan?
There's no stated migration fee or monthly limit for either current plan. Note your balance before you dial and check it again when the confirmation SMS arrives.
How do I check my TalkMasta bonus?
Dial *310# from your Glo line to see your free minutes and bonus data. To see which plan you're on, dial #100# instead.
Can I still migrate to Glo Yakata?
No. Yakata is closed to new joiners, like Bounce and the other old plans. If #100# shows one of them, your rates stay until you move, but you probably can't go back afterwards.
Which Glo tariff plan is better for data?
Super Talk, if you browse without a bundle, because its per-MB rate is half of TalkMasta's. If your phone goes online every day, a data bundle beats both by a long way.
How do I migrate to Glo Super Talk?
Dial *301# from the line you want to move, choose the option to join the plan and wait for the confirmation SMS. Read each screen first, because the same menu also sells data from your main balance.
How much does a call cost per minute on Super Talk?
Super Talk charges 15.5 kobo a second to all local networks, which is ₦9.30 a minute. Your first outgoing call each day also carries a small access fee.
