Your role at AidaPay is to own the entertainment and storytelling behind AidaPay’s content.
You will turn everyday cultural moments, frustrations, and trends into content people actually relate to and want to watch. The idea is to build a community of people who love our brand, and our team.
You have an outstanding understanding of what kind of editing works on TikTok and Instagram, and of current trends and editing styles. You edit fast, and meticulously. You understand the concept of visual branding, and apply it carefully to all content you produce.
You’re naturally funny, and super into Nigerian internet culture.
You will also assist the CMO with various other marketing duties, as needed.
Content Creation:
Write scripts and/or detailed directions to use when directing and filming the reels, which have the kind of engaging structure and pacing that shows you understand social media inside out.
Act and appears in reels, bringing other AidaPay staff on to play other characters as needed. Be natural, expressive, comfortable improvising, and unapologetically (but professionally) yourself.
Produce all AidaPay reels. Handle the set up, the actual filming, and the processing of footage. Ensure cameras are prepared, lighting is optimal, audio sounds great, and the content you shoot is professional.
Handle creative direction during filming. Lead the energy on set, adjust delivery, timing and tone in real time, and make the content feel alive - not scripted.
Edit all AidaPay reels with the kind of engaging structure and pacing that shows you understand social media inside out.
Design all thumbnails, with excellent design sensibility and a clear understanding of social media best practices.
Lead best-practices decisions on video length, hook framing, caption style, etc, optimising everything for TikTok and Instagram behaviour
Social Media Management:
Post consistently and strategically on both Instagram and TikTok, scheduling content where needed
Handle comment and dm replies efficiently and proactively
Establish and maintain a 2-week buffer of content, using a content calendar
Regularly analyse metrics to understand what content works, what doesn’t, and why, and turn this insight into action.
General:
Use project management tools like Trello, Slack, ClickUp, and be comfortable using Google Drive, docs and sheets.
Use editing tools like Canva, CapCut and Adobe
Assist the CMO with other marketing work where needed. This could include:
Coordinating logistics for on-the-ground initiatives, influencer marketing and physical advertising
Writing and scheduling in-app notifications
Assisting with email marketing campaigns
Helping with logistics for attending events & other industry opportunities
